Derek graduated and received a Bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. While attending UPJ, Derek competed in 3 years of NCAA Division 2 golf. Turning professional in 2014, he has competed in numerous professional tournaments and has been an instructor of the game for over 10 years.

Derek E. Leach, PGA, is the Lead Instructor of The Laurel Highlands Golf Academy and the PGA Director of Instruction at Windber Country Club. He is entering his 8th year as the Boys/Girls Head Golf Coach at Bishop McCort Catholic High School and 5th year as the Head Golf Coach at Penn Highlands Community College.
Derek offers a Bio-Mechanics style approach to teaching and will help you take charge and feel confident in your own golf swing.
